Focus on Indian Wedding
We were commissioned to create a visual & lighting design scenography of a genuine "happily ever after" event in one of the finest resorts in Italy. This wedding, at the level of a large-scale project, was produced by "Balich Worldwide Shows" and consisted in three days of festivities organized in three different locations for the young couple and their 800 guests.
Indian Wedding
For each day/night and location several outstanding festivities were organized including live concert of "Florence and the Machine", mix classic-pop dancers, D.J set and dances on the moving scene/swimming pools, costumed entertainment performances all over the area, hundreds of women in gorgeous saris with yards of embroidery, few centurions, the groom arriving on horseback, an elephant, few ballrooms, a 328 foot-long buffet, projections, hologram gods, dancers on jets of water, acrobats tumbling up and down the façades, flames on the roof and fireworks etc.
Indian Wedding
In order to embark the young couple & their guests on a unique journey straight from the tale Alice in Wonderland we used theatrical and big shows lighting design techniques and designed several made to measure light art installations, which reflected the spirit of the event and were perfectly integrated into the general set design.
Indian Wedding
Thanks to our lighting scenography we could modify the space and time to surprise, arouse extraordinary emotions and enhance the areas and performances. To achieve the most authentic result, we needed to maintain the coherence between each element of the project and simultaneously highlight each of them. The multitude of atmospheres that we were able to produce immersed the newlyweds and guests in an enchanting, luxurious journey plain of abundance, mystery and joy.

“FORBIDDEN FRUIT” - OUR NEW LIGHT ART INSTALLATION
In the framework of our lighting & visual scenography for the "Indian Wedding" project, we created a made to measure light art installation, "Forbidden fruit", to enhance this exquisite event.
Extravagant, yet epic atmosphere encouraged us to develop a modern concept design to accompany the poetic narrative of the event. Flowered Italian gardens and fairytale decors were propitious for our light art installation to add further magic into fascinating scenery.
Forbidden Fruit
"Forbidden Fruit" installation, with its strong visual identity embodies the mystery contained in all fairytales, with a sense of luxury and fantasy.
Sometimes entirely visible, others, secretly hanging hidden in the landscape and embedded into decors somewhere beyond words, between the tangible and the imaginary, the art object offers an enchanting vibrant experience by reflecting its silver glints and random colors on the surroundings.
Forbidden Fruit
Its size and form of grape, made from mirror balls, aim at embracing the notions of abundance, myth and legend. With its edgy touch, "Forbidden Fruit" could highlight any given scenery, enrapture the divine spirit of hedonic festivities and mesmerize the secret of ambrosia.
Through the symbolic value of the idyll and celebration, "Forbidden fruit" is an invitation to experience a dreamlike atmosphere with spectacular effects and a glimpse of retro extravaganza.
SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW TO ENHANCE BRUSSELS’ WONDERS
For the 2014 - 2015 edition of the Winter Wonders in Brussels, ACTLD was invited to create a brand new sound and light show.
After having enlightened Electrabel Nights 2007, 2009 and 2011, we imagined a new visual & lighting scenography which will be inaugurated on November 28th, 2014.

On this occasion we will take over the perennial installation consisting of 1600 rails and LED spotlights highlighting the Grand-Place, Architectural heritage recognized by UNESCO, for an impressionist show evoking the passing of seasons and arrival of Christmas in this exceptional setting.
Grand Place
Our creative concept is inspired by the seasons, their importance and graceful beauty in urban environment. The majestic Brussels Grand-Place transforms, as the leaves lay golden on the ground before whirling in the autumnal wind. Winter slowly arrives, bringing along the spirit of Christmas with a mixture of images, sensations, perfumes and colors. Golden glitter shines, transforming Brussels in a living light sculpture. The time twirls before us and passes to the rhythm of the Advent calendar. The façades around the Grand-Place come to life and share this effervescence of impressions day after day, accompanying us throughout the festive season. A highly rhythmic and colorful program.
