The spectacular opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore amazed the live audience of 27.000 and was broadcasted worldwide to 2 billion people. Marina Bay became a unique setting for this ceremony. The center was a huge floating platform with, in front of it, the main stage.
The set consisted of a ring of containers surrounding a 5000 square meter lake, created for extra visual effects and all serving as performance space. The âlighthouseâ in the center became the cauldron for the Olympic flame. All this stood against the stunning Singapore skyline, where we added lighting effects, skytracers and fireworks on the buildings.
