Ana studied at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, where she obtained a degree in Architecture and Urbanism with honors. She has been in charge of the design, interior architecture and project management of important hospitality and commercial projects in her country of origin. Having teamed up with professionals from various disciplines, she decided to specialize in the field of lighting design. She then obtained a Master’s Degree in Architectural Lighting Design from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Also interested in spreading the culture of light, Ana joined the Speakers competition for students, which is organized by PLDC. She was selected and coached by a professional lighting designer and gave a lecture at the PLDC warm-up event in Edinburgh on her research on Media Lighting. After working as a trainee lighting designer in Wonderfulight in Bordeaux, France, she joined ACTLD, fulfilling her wishes to work with light and gain expertise in this domain.
